Rental Car Customers Put The Top Down in Orlando, Las Vegas and Phoenix During Spring Break 2021

Allianz Partners Reveals Top 20 Rental Car Sites for Spring Break 2021

Richmond, VA, March 22, 2021 —Orlando, Las Vegas and Phoenix have taken the lead in travel insurance provider Allianz Partners’ review of the top rental car locations for Spring Break 2021.  Allianz Partners USA reviewed* 468,000 rental car reservations for mid-March to mid-April through its partners that offer Allianz Rental Car Damage Protector in order to come up with this year’s list. Not unexpectedly, Florida destinations counted for four of the top 10 most popular destinations for travelers to rent cars during Spring Break. Other destinations that broke into the top 10 included Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta. The findings are in line with a recent survey of the company’s customers that found that 77% of those surveyed who are taking Spring Break trips would be traveling within the continental U.S.

Allianz Partners offers its  Rental Car Damage Protector through leading travel providers and directly to consumers as an alternative to the typically higher priced insurance products that are offered at rental car counters. The product provides primary coverage, includes no deductible, can be purchased for domestic or overseas rentals and is backed by Allianz’s award-winning customer service and 24/7 travel assistance. Rental Car Damage Protector** plans also include $500 in Trip Interruption coverage, which can be used to reimburse travelers for the unused portion of their pre-paid expenses or for extra unexpected transportation expenses when insured customers have to cut their trip short due to a reason covered by their policy.

“Americans are clearly looking for a respite from winter weather and are trading in their seat warmers for convertible tops as they take to the road this Spring Break,” said Daniel Durazo, Director of Marketing and Communications at Allianz Partners USA. “Rental Car Damage Protector from Allianz allows consumers to save money at the rental car counter while getting the coverage, benefits and service that will allow them to spend more time soaking in the sun and less time worrying about rental car mishaps.”
